Activities That Stimulate Little Minds, Exercise Little Bodies And Are Fun For All
CHANGE 4 LIFE!
Modern life has made things much more comfortable for us - so comfortable, in fact, that most of us spend too long sitting down doing nothing much at all. Of course it's important to relax, but there’s a difference between chilling out and vegging out. The fact is that children who are inactive don’t burn off enough energy and store up fat in their body. The solution is simple - get up! Simply being up, about and moving burns calories and helps fend off diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease or cancer.Families that play together have more fun and find time to do things together. Active children are happy children - they like to be running around and having fun. The trouble is, in this modern world they've got other things to do and plenty of reasons not to go outside to play or run around. Even at school they're sitting for much of the day!In fact, children need to do at least 60 minutes of physical activity that gets their heart beating faster than usual. And they need to do it every day to burn off calories and prevent them storing up excess fat in the body which can lead to cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It also keeps their bones healthy and encourages muscle strength and flexibility. It's important to try and do activities that really get their hearts pumping. This can be things like jumping, skipping, dancing and running. Not only does it make them feel good, but it helps to exercise their bones too and protect against brittle bone disease in later life. Our classes Wiggle & Move and Zumbatomic will get you and your children doing all of these things and little will the children realise they are learning important life skills too while having fun!Try it at home - Lots of TV ads play music jingles and songs, which are perfect for dancing around too.
