Being a Baby Activity Tutor works perfectly for Riece and me, we get to meet so many lovely new mums and babies every day, learn new things, different ways to communicate with each other and we both enjoy our bonding sessions.
Being able to share and pass on skills to parents/carers and encouraging babies to explore their senses using touch, sound and smell, is such a rewarding job. Especially when a baby starts to mimic back to you what you have been teaching them. It's the most amazing feeling ever!
The added bonus of been able to take Riece to work with me every day since such a young age, is so valuable. Sharing special moments with him and watching him learn and grow is just increditable!
Hi I'm Sylvia, mum to Riece, wife to Steve and founder/tutor of BaaBaa Babies.
After having my first baby, my out look on life changed and I decided that I did not want to go back to the rat race of working full time, long hours in hard sales and miss out on quality time with my son.
The thought of leaving my precious baby in the care of someone else at such a young age did not appeal to me. I wanted to be there to see Riece take his fisrt steps, say his first words and enjoy the early years of his life!
In October 2007 I launched my new career as a Baby Play & Sign tutor.
